Don’t mind me lying seductively here.
In practically every form that a hobby takes shape in, there is bound to be seemingly obtainable objects or commodities that are valued and held at a higher esteem than the rest of the bunch. You might be familiar with terms such as “exclusive”, “rare”, “limited”, “premium” and the ilk. Such verbiage tagged onto these commodities in addition to the element(s) that separates these items from “special” and “regular” can very well become the bane of a collector’s bank account. As a collector and enthusiast for both video games and figures, I, too, know what this feeling of aggravation, excitement and regret all wonderfully mixed into a colorful cocktail in regards to dealing with “limited” items.
This post is meant to express my stance on the more difficult aspects of figure collecting, provide insight on these dreadful things that I oh so love so much, and convey why it is that I continue to do what I do.
